Kansas is an American progressive rock band which became popular in the 1970s, with hit singles such as "Carry On Wayward Son" and the haunting acoustic classic "Dust in the Wind". Sold out shows at major venues like Madison Square Garden, more hit singles like Point of No Return and Hold On sent this band into the stratosphere of rock superstardom.
Incredible Vocals with layered harmonies, progressive rhythms infused with violins with a great rock edge make Kansas one of the most unique concert experiences to this day.
The bands hits have been in feature films, TV shows, video games and have been covered by several notable artists including Yngwie Malmsteen, Dream Theater, Sarah Brightman, and the Scorpions to name a few.
Dust in the Wind was certified Gold as a digital download by the RIAA in 2005, almost 30 years after it sold 1 million copies as a single.
